OTTO SPORT Welcomes Jordan Carlson as Head of Product

October 1, 2025

In this role, Jordan leads product vision and strategy at OTTO SPORT, guiding the development of customer-centered experiences that athletes, families, coaches, and clubs truly love. He believes the most meaningful products are built by deeply understanding customers—their goals, frustrations, and the real-world context shaping their needs—and turning those insights into simple, connected experiences that deliver real value.

As part of this work, Jordan is also leading the expansion of OTTO SPORT's Customer Advisory Panel, creating a structured way for clubs, leagues, families, and administrators to directly inform product development and the work of the company's AI Lab. This expanded advisory group ensures customer voices play a central role in shaping how intelligent tools are designed, tested, and delivered—keeping innovation grounded in empathy, trust, and real-world impact.

Before joining OTTO SPORT, Jordan served as Director of UX at SportsEngine, where he focused on improving everyday workflows for millions of youth sports families and administrators. His work consistently emphasized clarity, empathy, and measurable customer impact, helping teams operate more smoothly while improving the overall experience for the community.

Jordan's connection to youth sports extends well beyond his professional background. He serves on the board of a multi-sport organization, volunteers as a coach across four different sports, and currently coaches his nine-year-old son's hockey team. A former track and cross-country runner at Notre Dame—and a lifelong hockey player—he brings firsthand athletic and leadership experience to every product decision. A self-professed AI and data enthusiast, Jordan is always exploring how emerging technology can make youth sports more accessible, organized, and enjoyable.

Based in Minnesota, Jordan lives with his wife and four young children. He remains deeply committed to building technology that supports families, strengthens communities, and preserves the joy of youth sports—on and off the field.
